Raymond-Flood and Nash Present “Guide to Record Management Contracts” for Health Information Professionals
Bridgewater, NJ (June 25, 2013) – Margaret Raymond-Flood and Jesse P. Nash, Members of the Bridgewater-based law firm Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., were presenters at the 2013 New Jersey Health Information Management Association’s Annual Meeting, “New Jersey and NJHIMA – Rebuilding Stronger Foundations,” June 19-20, at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. In their session, Raymond-Flood and Nash provided the “Insider’s Guide to Record Management Contract Review.”
Raymond-Flood, a resident of Ringoes, devotes her practice to general litigation, with an emphasis on complex commercial matters. She is chair of the firm’s Response to Electronic Discovery and Information (“REDI”) Group, an interdisciplinary team that helps clients with the identification, preservation, collection, review, and production of massive amounts of electronically stored information required by federal and state court rules. She writes and presents extensively on this topic. Raymond-Flood is also experienced in the defense of products liability, professional liability claims, and insurance claims. She earned her J.D. in 1991 and her B.A., magna cum laude, in 1988 from Seton Hall University. She is a member of the Meritas Litigation Section Steering Committee, Somerset County Bar Association, New Jersey Defense Association, and Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce.
Nash, a resident of Branchburg, concentrates his practice on technology contracting, including transactions that involve software contracting. He represents clients on the vendor side, including large companies that deal with health information software and data management fields. He assists the firm’s general corporate clients with their software licensing transactions as well as with enterprise-level licensing transactions on the licensee side. Nash also is experienced in commercial real estate matters and represents banks on finical transactions. In 2011, Nash was selected for inclusion in the Real Estate section of New Jersey Monthly’s New Jersey Rising Stars. Nash earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2003 and his B.S. from Liberty University in 1999.
The New Jersey Health Information Management Association (NJHIMA) is a Component State Association of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). There are over 67,000 members in AHIMA and New Jersey’s association has over 1,800 members. Their mission is to promote the excellence of NJHIMA members in the management of health information through professional development, innovation, and leadership.
